Critical Race Theory Exposed for What It Is

From The Political Hat we get the following. The Multiracial Fight Against Critical Race Theory.

But, perhaps, the far more clear sign that the opposition to the wickedly animus that is Critical Race Theory than non-White civic organizations saying what White people don’t have the real privilege or real power to say. Case in point: The Chinese American Citizens Alliance Greater New York, who eviscerate Critical Race Theory and lay its poisonous corpse bare.

It is worth a few moments of your time.

Self-defense After-action Report

An interview with the homeowner who defended himself and his family from the two miscreants in Georgia over the weekend. Brinson homeowner reflects on the moment he exchanged gunfire with armed suspect in Decatur County

Brad Phillips and Troy Phillips, brothers, were something of a crime spree. After a police chase that crossed from Florida into Georgia they arrived at Jesse Whitley's home in Decatur County.

According to his account, the men shot at his front door lock trying to break into the home. But before they could, Whitley grabbed his pistol, shooting through his window. Whitley and his family were not injured.

“And he said we’re friendly let us in and continue to shooting and I said no, I don’t think so and that’s when I shot 5 or 6 times towards their direction,” explained Whitley.

I'm Shocked to Learn... OK, I'm not shocked; it's Chicago

Police reform in Chicago is being run like a racket? Say it ain't so. Is COPA Conducting Illegal Investigations? | Chicago Contrarian

Tell me that Chicago's Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) may be operating illegally, and I am not even a little surprised. Actually, I would be more surprised if it turned out they were 100% legit. This is Chicago we're talking about!

The review, conducted by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, found numerous instances of unfounded allegations of misconduct against the police, some of which were bolstered with video footage and in which investigators failed to notify prosecutors of potentially fraudulent allegations so that the complainants could be indicted.

Say that again. Complaints against cops, sworn complaints that is, which are so false there is video evidence of their bogosity, are just swept under the rug. The bottom line? Lie and cheat all you want to get the cops, and you will get a free pass. If cops put one toe out of line, it will get cut off.

Despite the evidence of false allegations and the fact that complainants signed sworn affidavits, Judicial Watch could find no evidence the complainants were referred to prosecutors for an indictment of perjury. Such a failure could be a violation of the law.

What? You expected Justice in Chicago, did you? Of course I wouldn't expect Crimesha (Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx) to actually press charges against people who perjure themselves going after cops. She hates cops.

I am no cheerleader for Chicago PD. (Look thru the "Cops Behaving Badly" category. There are plenty of stories from CPD.) Lord knows they have enough skeletons in their closet. But the way to improve policing is to hold the bad ones accountable, not declare open season, or just start slinging mud. But then again subtlety is not big in the Windy City.

The Valley of The Pagans

For a group of animated characters, Gorillaz manages to put out some fairly interesting music. They produced an album at the end of last year, when I was distracted by a whole bunch of other stuff.

This song is "The Valley of The Pagans" by Gorillaz featuring Beck.

It was released as a single in November from the October 2020 album Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez.

When Will The Left Live Up to Its Own #MeToo Standards?

My guess is never. Gov. Cuomo accused of making unwanted advances at wedding

They overlooked this kind of thing with Bill Clinton - and worse with teflon Bill - and they will coverup and ignore anything that comes to light with "Hand Andy."

If it weren't for double-standards, the Left would have no standards at all.

A third woman came forward on Monday to accuse New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo of inappropriate sexual behavior, saying he grabbed and kissed her at a 2019 wedding.

Now I am tall, and though I am old and have bad knees, in my youth if someone tried to kiss me like that I would have decked them. Or at least kneed them in the groin.

I believe we need to teach more women to throw a decent punch.

We also need to teach the Left to live by the standards they want to enforce on everyone except their choosen few.

Hat tip to The Other McCain, who notes...

Anyway, he was becoming an embarrassment to the party, with his COVID-19 policy that killed thousands of little old ladies, and so now we have women “coming forward,” as they say, to tell everybody that Cuomo’s a creepy old pervert.

So he thinks this is the end for Handy Andy. I'm not so sure.

There is more at both sites.

Forsyth County, Georgia - They Don't Mess Around

The Other McCain seems to find some grand meaning in most of the police chases he features on his site. Me I don't see any deep meaning usually, though the "twice in two days" aspect of this chase probably carries some meaning. "Quit while you're ahead," maybe. So why watch? They are strangely fascinating.

The sheriff's office called off the pursuit on Tuesday, when the subject fled into another jurisdiction. They didn't call off the pursuit on Wednesday when the same subject vehicle turned up in the same area. Suspect captured after returning to scene of high-speed chase in Forsyth County

Surprisingly, the next night brought the same driver and sheriff's office together on the same roads. But the sheriff's office said they didn't call off the pursuit on this go-round.

And the department was ready.

"This time, FCSO was waiting, and we brought our friends with us," the sheriff's office wrote.

The chase ends with a classic PIT maneuver.

For his alleged second act, Morris gained multiple charges, including fleeing or attempting to elude, failure to maintain insurance, expired registration, driving a vehicle with a suspended license, and reckless driving.

The FCSO had a number of one-liners in their press release. Click thru and read the whole thing.

This is a compilation of dashcam videos from various cars involved in the chase. Both chases, actually.

The Castle Doctrine in Ohio

Seems like he never should have been arrested. Man shot to death after breaking into ex-girlfriend’s home in Cleveland’s Broadway-Slavic Village neighborhood

The ex-boyfriend showed up an assaulted her. So she asked the father of her child to stay with her. He did.

When the ex-boyfriend came to the house early on Feb. 21, he was met by the woman’s child’s father, Ciaccia said. The two argued, and the ex-boyfriend was shot.

The woman’s child’s father surrendered to police and turned over his gun at the shooting scene, Ciaccia said. He was arrested but later released pending further investigation.

He was clearly a threat, based on the assault the day before. And there is a Castle Doctrine in Ohio.

California Falling

No one reads Dostoyevsky anymore. He's a dead white man, and he had bad things to say about communism. California Collapsing | ZeroHedge

California now fulfills Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s nightmare vision in his prophetic masterpiece “The Possessed” as to what unlimited liberalism must inevitably create – if not stopped in its tracks and rolled back.

Even governor Newsom is in trouble, no matter how much the media try to cover for him.

Hat tip to Lone Star Parson, who notes...

The question is, will the rest of the country follow California's gender neutral Potato Head genius into dystopian nightmare? If the ongoing ammo shortage is anything to go buy, the people are voting "yes."

Belated Lessons Learned from a Disaster

A derecho in northern Wisconsin hit a community in 2019. The linked article is a review of plans and the aftermath. Commentary: Lessons Learned From Disaster Response - The Daily Yonder

They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Here are some lessons learned from one area's natural disaster to help your rural community be better prepared - and maybe duck a few blows.

Plans and contact information must be kept up to date. Communication may be via means you are not used to using. Information is hard to come by, power will be out, even The Red Cross will have trouble getting relief to an area.

Anyway, click thru. It is mostly from the point of view of a rural municipality, but there are some things for the population to consider, and you can probably come up with how you would respond.

The basic message for the population: you might be on your own for a few days, or more. Be prepared.

‡ derecho - definition courtesy of the National Weather Service:

A derecho (pronounced similar to "deh-REY-cho") is a widespread, long-lived wind storm that is associated with a band of rapidly moving showers or thunderstorms. Although a derecho can produce destruction similar to the strength of tornadoes, the damage typically is directed in one direction along a relatively straight swath. As a result, the term "straight-line wind damage" sometimes is used to describe derecho damage. By definition, if the wind damage swath extends more than 240 miles (about 400 kilometers) and includes wind gusts of at least 58 mph (93 km/h) or greater along most of its length, then the event may be classified as a derecho.

8-10 Years for Murder, and He Kills Again

Because tough on crime is mean. Ex-Marine who killed wife is shot to death by Pa. police as he fatally beats transgender woman - pennlive.com

So first up, he served 8 years, or so, for murder.

Hernandez was released from prison in North Carolina in 2019 after he pled guilty to second-degree murder in Onslow County Superior Court. He was sentenced to 8-10 years and four months in prison for shooting and killing his 20-year-old wife Kandace Hernandez in their home in Richlands, N.C. on July 20, 2011.

Because keeping violent criminals in jail is mean.

In 2011 he was also wanted by the US Marine Corps for desertion.

Now he has killed again, on Friday the 19th of February, he beat a transgender woman to death.

When officers arrived, they found 33-year-old Juan Carter Hernandez beating 24-year-old Chyna Carrillo with a blunt object. When officers ordered Hernandez to stop, he ignored them and continued beating her, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Cops killed him. She died in a local hospital.

So it would have been better for his latest victim if he was still in prison? The family of his first victim was disgusted with the sentence handed down.

Hat tip to The Other McCain.

Don’t expect to see the #Justice4Juan hashtag trending on social media, nor is it likely that the police shooting of Juan Hernandez will give rise to a #LatinoLivesMatter movement. No, I think everyone in America will agree, Juan Hernandez needed killing.

This also falls under the heading, "If you make something cheaper, you will see more of it."

Civil War

1991 was a good year for music. Mettalica released The Black Album. Red Hot Chili Peppers releaed the album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Soundgarden released Badmotorfinger. Grunge was going on in Seattle. And there was so much more.

If you were listening to the radio in 1991 and 1992, you know songs off those albums. Like today's song, which reached #4 on the Billboad Chart. (Though that was in late 1990.)

This is "Civil War" by Guns N' Roses. It was a single released from their 1991 album Use Your Illusion II. That album was released on September 17th, the same day they released another album, Use Your Illusion I. (And yes, today's song was released in 1990 on a charity album...)

Lieutenant Justin Bedwell

End of Watch. Longtime Decatur County deputy dies after Brinson officer-involved shooting

A 20 year veteran of Decatur County Sheriff's Office died from wounds recieved over the weekend.

Lt. Bedwell was flown to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare for surgery after being shot under his arm, according to DCSO.

You can find information on the incident at this link.

Georgia Homeowners Are Armed

These bad-guys didn't know that, apparently. Homeowner shoots at suspects during police chase: GA cops

Traffic stop for reckless driving leads to car chase.

The pursuit eventually crossed into nearby Decatur County, where local deputies joined the chase, The [Georgia Bureau of Investigation] says.

Once in Decatur County, the driver of the truck pulled into the driveway of a home and the suspects tried to break into the house by “shooting through the door,” according to the release.

The homeowner returned fire, causing them to run like rabbits.

The bad news is that they got back into the truck and shot a deputy as they drove off. The deputy remains in critical condition.

They crashed into a wooded area, and one of them was captured right away. The other was captured after a prolonged manhunt, involving many jurisdictions, including an unnamed federal agency.

And it turns out these two bad guys are brothers. (Their parents must be so proud.) Brothers, 40 and 41, are arrested for 'shooting two deputies' during car chase near the Florida-Georgia border

Troy Arthur Phillips and his brother Brad Phillips opened fire with a rifle while being pursued by the deputies on Highway 84.

And a 2nd deputy had non-life-threatening wounds, also from a gunshot.

Media Bias? There's No Media Bias

Just ask them, and they will tell you. CNN gives almost no air time to #MeToo allegations against Andrew Cuomo - Liberty Unyielding

Color me shocked that the media would cover up for Cuomo.

Whatever the story, CNN maintained radio silence for a full 24 hours on Thursday after former aide to Andrew Cuomo, Lindsey Boylan, claimed her ex-boss had kissed her on the lips without asking. When the network finally acknowledged the existence of the sexual harassment allegations, they devoted a whopping 96 seconds over to the story spread over two news briefs.

I guess it is true that sexual misconduct by Democratic politicians is no longer news. Or something.

And Epstein didn't kill himself.

Don't Threaten Cops With a Knife

As The Other McCain has noted: COPS SHOOT WHITE CRIMINALS, TOO. And Crazy Peopl are Dangerous.

If you threaten cops with a knife, well they have guns. Though with 2 officers on scene, maybe the jurisdiction in question should consider Tasers. Though the Left hate Tasers. And beanbag rounds, and rubber bullets, and...

Since the guy who got shot was white, and survived, there were no riots, no CNN propaganda to advance some anti-police agenda.

The PoliceActivity channel on YouTube is quite interesting. Bodycam Shows Hollister Officer Shoot Suspect Armed With Knife.

This incident took place in December of 2020, hence the Christmas tree. The bodycam footage was released on February 26th.
