A father in Garland shot and killed a carjacker who attempted to steal a vehicle while his family of eight was still inside.

Texans are still armed, and bad-guys are still getting shot. Witness shoots man attempting to steal luxury car at Dallas shopping center, affidavit says

In this case the bad guys were attempted to carjack someone in Dallas.

This incident happened way back in December, but the final arrest was only made on Friday, so the details of the investigation have been made public.

Dallas police say three people were leaving dinner at Odelay Tex-Mex when 21-year-old Lequezio Dade, 19-year-old Kylan Owens and 21-year-old Anthony Primers approached them.

According to an arrest affidavit, "Dade used a rifle held horizontally to violently shove one of the men backward while demanding the keys to his Maserati and his wallet."

One of the people with the driver of the Maserati was armed, and shot Lequezio Dade. He turned up at a local hospital with a story that cops, frankly, found stupidly unbelievable.

According to the affidavit, a geofence search warrant identified three cell phones present at both the shooting scene and hospital at times consistent with the investigation. Those phones belonged to Dade, Owens and Primers.

This attempted carjacking happened, as they say, “in an upscale area” on the north side of Dallas, which shows that there is no such thing as a “safe” neighborhood in 21st-century America. Who knows what might have happened had it not been for the fact that the Maserati owner’s friend was armed?

Or as I like to say, you are not protected by your Zip Code.

Good Guy with a Gun Stops Carjacking

A group of 3 miscreants thought it would be a good idea to try and commit a carjacking. In Texas, that turned out to be wrong. 2 suspects sought after 3rd suspect shot in attempted carjacking in Dallas.

Police told FOX 4 that an "uninvolved party shot one of the suspects while they attempted to carjack the victim. The victim was threatened and shot at with a short-barreled rifle."

Police said that suspect is at a hospital in stable condition. They are still searching for the other two suspects.

An "uninvolved party" is Leftist weasel-wording for a good-guy with a gun, who just happened to be there.

And while the headline is bad enough, the subtitle tells even more:

“Bail reform” led to 34 percent of murder suspects arrested in 2021 being released on bail or their own recognizance.

These statistcs come from criminologist Michael Smith of the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia is responsible for that study. The statistics published as a part of the study include "about 75 percent of offenders charged with weapons law violations, about two-thirds of those arrested for aggravated assault, and 34 percent of those arrested for murder."

This is all happening because the Left has decided (with help from Soros-funded non-prosecuting attorney's, and others) that keeping violent offenders in jail is unfair.

Five police officers were killed and seven wounded during a march against the shooting of black men by police.

But he had a progressive Idea.

"The suspect said he was upset at white people. The suspect stated that he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers."

Mr Brown added that the man had said he was not affiliated with any groups and he had acted alone.

Police said the investigation revealed Moore and another man were involved in a verbal argument, when Moore reportedly pulled a knife and attempted to stab the man. Police said that man shot Moore in self-defense.

The guy who got shot was prononced dead at a local hospital.

The shooter was not arrested, but the entire incident is being referred to a grand Jury.
