Angry Cops versus Buffalo Public School System

Way back in April of 2025, Buffalo Detective Richard Hy called out the Buffalo Public School System for the system interfering with police investigations of crimes against students. Think about that. The school system, which parents trust with their kids for 6 or 8 hours a day, are not helping cops investigate crimes against children, and see to it that guilty people are punished.

Since then, there has been an internal investigation, and several school board members have either left on their own, or lost elections. Overall Detective Hy doesn't think things are going well.

The latest update is in the video we have today.

Is The Buffalo City School System Obstructing an Investigation?

There was an incident in the Buffalo City Schools system, where an outsider gained access to a school and tried to abduct two children. It came to light in April of last year when Buffalo Police Detective Richard Hy (Angry Cops) went on the Unsubscribe Podcast and blew the top off the cover-up.

Since then, it sounds like the Buffalo District Attorney's Office is saying that the school district, and their legal team, is obstructing the investigation.

Richard Hy states in this video that his children will never attend Buffalo Public Schools, apparently because he has seen too much.

This is the Unsubscribe Clips video Buffalo Public Schools Are REFUSING To Protect Children - SVU Detective Exposes Investigation. It is a 20 minute video, but I think it is worth your time.

That is the highlights reel. The full episode, Unsubscribe Podcast 256: Police Detective Breaks Down The Buffalo Public Schools Investigation, which is one hour and 28 minutes. I have not made it all the way through the full episode. Yet. But I intend to.

Buffalo Public Schools, and Buffalo Media vs Teachers

The continuing attempt of Buffalo Public Schools, with the aid of the Buffalo legacy media, to run out the clock. "If only we stonewall, the people will forget about this." Or something.

In addition to obstructions from the school district, the media in Buffalo, New York, is trying to imply that Angry Cops and the guys from the Unsubscribe Podcast have it in for the teachers. They don't. Nick, Fat Electrician, has spoken to any number of teachers confidentially. They are the people telling him which Freedom of Information Act requests to submit.

Most teachers are just trying to do the right thing in the face of a culture that says, "don't cooperate with cops," "don't report bad things," "don't make the administration look bad."

Here is an excerpt from a longer episode in which that gets discussed, and there is some interesting video of a teacher making a statement at a Buffalo School Board Meeting, and a conversation with a teacher about administration retaliation.

This is the Unsubscribe Clip Buffalo Public Schools Are IGNORING Teachers' Concerns For Student Safety. The video is roughly 14 minutes and 30 seconds.

Has Buffalo News Channel WGRZ Defamed Detective Hy?

I'm Shocked - Shocked I tell you - that a news organization... OK, so I'm not shocked that journalists would lie about a cop.

I'm not sure that The Fat Electrician is right (I'm no lawyer) that this is a defamation case they could win. But I am clear that The Fat Electrician is right when he says these "professional journalists," so called, are pieces of excrement for spreading these "untruths."

WGRZ is APPARENTLY lying their asses off about Detective Richard Hy, of the Buffalo PD. They are continually saying things about him that are NOT true. Or one thing, anyway. Now why is that? There is a simple fact that they continually get wrong. Not once or twice. They get it wrong A LOT. I'll let The Fat Electrician and Angry Cops explain. The video is only 8 minutes.

Even More on the Buffalo School System

It has been a few weeks since the guys at Unsubscribe Podcast first took aim at the Buffalo School System. On Saturday, they published another video. This one contains a whole bunch of receipts: Some info on school board members and the superintendent of the district being sorority sisters, some info on the local DA, and more stories from more schools. How the school district hires law firms to do "Third Party Investigations" of whatever has gone wrong (and a lot has gone wrong) so that the results are attorney-client privilege, and are NEVER disclosed to the public.

This is the Unsubscribe Podcast, Episode #214: ALARMING PROOF: Buffalo Schools EXPOSED For Hiding Child Abuse Evidence. It is quite a long video at an hour and 25 minutes, but full of good stuff. The beautiful thing about YouTube or Rumble videos is you don't have to watch them in one sitting.

Buffalo Public Schools, Angry Cops, and More

Buffalo Pubic Schools found themselves at the bottom of a hole, and bought more shovels. Buffalo Public Schools Continues to Cover Itself in Infamy

From the moment Buffalo SVU Detective Richard Hy unveiled his allegations against the Buffalo Public Schools, the schools had a simple fix. They could take the allegations seriously, address them, thank Hy for bringing it to their attention, and then move on.

Instead, they called the allegations "untruths," which likely was a ploy to avoid being sued for libel when they knew the accusations were most definitely true. They've dragged their feet on their so-called independent investigation, and now they're doubling down on the stupid.

The board of education scheduled a meeting where parents could discuss their concerns, when they realized that the interest was off the charts, they changed the venue to a SMALLER location.

So yeah, rather than use a venue that could seat plenty who might wish to voice their concerns about what the hell is going on with their public school system, and honestly might be too small anyway, they're downsizing to a much smaller room that will artificially restrict the number of people who can physically attend the meeting.

That's some shady stuff, folks.

There is a lot more, including how making this may may violate New York's Open Meetings Law.

You can get up-to-the-minute news, or nearly so, on this subject by following Angry Cops, and The Fat Electrician on X.

The original episode of the Unsubscribe Podcast where Rich Hy stated what the issues are. It is 37 minutes.

Buffalo Public Schools Burying the Truth - 2022 Edition

From WGRZ in Buffalo, New York comes another story about a Public School cover up. BPS never released McKinley H.S. shooting investigation report, not even to Buffalo Police

The Buffalo Public School District apparently has a history of not cooperating with police and/or the district attorney's office to get crimes solved and criminals out of the schools. Angry Cops (BPD Detective Rich Hy), together with the crew from The Unsubscribe Podcast, Donut Operator, Fat Electrician, Eli Double-Tap, and TheAKGuy are starting to hold their feet to the fire. It seems to be catching on with at least some of the media.

More than three years after a shooting and stabbing at McKinley High School, an investigative report of that incident conducted by the Buffalo School District has still not been released publicly.

In fact, the report wasn't shared with Buffalo Police, either.

The district says the report has attorney-client privilege, and so cannot be shared.

WGRZ has asked a BPS spokesperson to clarify why an investigation into a shooting and stabbing at a high school that caused an hours long lockdown would be privileged information and we are still waiting for that clarification.

None of the Powers that Be in New York seem interested in the crimes in that school district. The NYS Attorney General, Leticia James, has no interest in investigating anything. I think it will take Fat Electrician, who is currently doing a lot of the digging and data collection, will have to lead the charge.

More on the Buffalo Public Schools and the Buffalo Media

Again from Tom Knighton at Townhall: Buffalo Public Schools Has Its Own Long History With Scandal

First Mr. Knighton takes on the media.

When Buffalo Police SVU Detective Richard Hy unveiled allegations of the Buffalo Public Schools stonewalling law enforcement and covering up allegations of abuse, the media went on the attack. That's to be expected.

However, they went after Hy, not the Buffalo schools. They talked about his supposedly rocky past, though none of the allegations against him had anything to do with his credibility. They were attacking the messenger.

You don't hate the media enough.

Then Mr. Knighton goes on to cover some incidents in the schools. Disturbing incidents, that in at least one case the school district apparently went out of its way to cover up.

Those who watched the last "Unsubscribe Podcast" may remember that Nic, AKA The Fat Electrician, had a binder full of allegations, including at least a couple of these that he mentioned. That led me down this particular rabbit hole, and I'm glad it did, because what I'm seeing here is absolutely insane.

This is a school system with what looks to me as a long history of doing exactly what Det. Richard Hy claims they're doing now. While a history of an action isn't a slam dunk, it's sure as heck an indication that they're not as clean as they want people to think, especially when you consider that at least some of this isn't even about things that happened on campus.

Read the whole thing, but prepare to be really mad at the school. For example:

In 2024, the Albany Times-Union reported that the Buffalo schools had an issue with corporal punishment, which is illegal under New York law, among other problems

The Buffalo School System and Media Fail Kids

And they fail to protect kids. In the case of the schools, it seems they are trying to keep the district out of the news at all costs. In the case of the media they are trying to undermine the credibility of the source, apparently because he didn't go to the "legitimate media" first. Say that again. The media is helping to cover up assaults on children out of jealousy. Or so it seems to me.

Tom Knighton has taken up the charge that Detective Rich Hy (Angry Cops) of the Buffalo PD, started, about the evil that exists in the Buffalo Public School System. Here is the trigger warning that Mr. Knighton provided one article.

Warning: This piece covers some sensitive topics involving violence against children. If this is something you just can't handle, consider yourself warned.

Before we get started on the media insanity, I just want to note that the Buffalo Public School system is going to investigate themselves to be sure they did nothing wrong. Any bets on whether or not they will discover anything? I would bet 50-to-1 odds that they will investigate and discover that they are perfect, with absolutely no liability for civil suits on this issue.

We will start with Knighton's treatment of the Buffalo media. The Buffalo Media Is As Evil As the School System

The local news media in Buffalo didn't fall all over themselves to pick up this thread and do some investigative reporting. Local NBC affiliate, WGRZ went straight to defending the school district, without even bothering to say what they were defending the district from. The local CBS affiliate, WIVB, went straight for a character assassination on Detective Hy. Why? Because they are clearly in the pocket of the school board and the city, and are probably miffed at the fact that Hy went on a podcast, where he could have an hour to speak his mind, rather than go on a local news outlet for 4 minutes, and then get preempted by the local traffic report.

To be fair, not every media outlet covered itself in crap instead of glory. Newsbusters noted one that seemed interested in actually covering the story

That would be WBEN.

As for the media as whole in Buffalo...

Yet, as Hy told me, this is a systemic issue in Buffalo. The media should be chomping at the bit to make something of this story. They should be tripping over themselves looking into the allegations and seeing what they can find. Instead, they're mostly carrying water for a school system that is credibly accused of covering up sexual assaults against students by an SVU detective in their own police department.

Next we have What the Buffalo School System Is Doing Is Downright EVIL

Over the weekend, Buffalo SVU Detective Rich Hy, known on social media as Angry Cops, was featured on a special episode of the Unsubscribe Podcast. There, he unveiled significant problems with the schools there. In particular, how they're explicitly and actively working to protect people who hurt children, at least that's how I see what he unveiled.

This is a case Hy mentioned in the first Unsubscribe Podcast video.

Hy recounting a child who told a school counselor that she was being beaten by her father. The counselor didn't believe her, apparently claiming the girl had a history of lying – which can be a symptom of child abuse, for the record – and so he ignored it. Then, the child showed the counselor a video of her being beaten on her phone. He then asked her about it later, and the child confirmed that it was her on the video, and it was of her father beating her.

Again, the counselor ignored it.

It took a third incident where the student was visibly suffering from a beating for the incidents to be reported to the police.

Lastly we have the following: Buffalo School Story Not Getting Any Better

Hy's discussed a few cases, but I was curious how common this was. While he didn't have any hard numbers, he said he's had two cases of schools covering up abuse that he termed as "egregious" in the last six months. With 12 special victims unit detectives working for the Buffalo Police Department, if that is the norm, you're looking at 24 egregious cases in that time period or nearly 50 per year. As this seems to cover at least two years, we're looking at somewhere around 100 egregious cases.

Then Mr. Knighton reminds us that all of the victims are minors under the age of 18. In at least one cover up, the administrators are refusing to talk to the prosecutors in the DA's office

As it stands, we're looking at possibly hundreds of cases of sexual assault being covered up by the schools, most likely student-on-student assaults, but parent-on-student cases also being hidden. All of these are incidents that schools are required to report under mandatory reporting laws, only Buffalo schools aren't doing it.

All this in one school district, determined to avoid bad press. Or something. How widespread is this?

Update on the Buffalo School District

Bad things are happening to kids in the Buffalo public schools, and the School System seems to be (allegedly) determined to sweep most of it under the rug. The guys at Unsubscribe Podcast are determined to see to it, that does not happen.

And they have help. From Tom Knighton at Townhall, we get the following: Buffalo SVU Detective 'AngryCops' Drops Startling New Evidence of School Sexual Abuse Coverups

Unfortunately, both the schools and the media seem more interested in trying to go after Hy than actually doing some digging.

As Tom Knighton mentions in his article, the level of weaponized autism being brought to bear on this issue is amazing.

Word to the wise: Never anger four high-profile folks with significant social media savvy and rabid fan bases.

As every system/bureaucracy seeks to protect its own, the school district, with help from the local media, has been going after Detective Hy. They didn't quite realize that was like kicking a hornets' nest.

Buffalo, New York School System Is Covering Up the Abuse of Kids

The School District is of course denying anything is wrong. Buffalo detective accuses Buffalo Public Schools of failing to report abuse in viral YouTube podcast

"Allegedly" should be appened to just about every sentence... you know the school is going to go after anyone and everyone with more energy than they go after the people hurting kids.

School district vehemently denies all allegations in statement

I'm shocked.

Rich Hy, known to the internet as Angry Cops, is a detective in the Buffalo PD Special Victims Unit. In that role, he deals with issues, at the schools. Or he tries to.

A Buffalo police detective is accusing Buffalo Public Schools officials of obstructing investigations into allegations of child abuse and sexual assaults of and among students.

Detective Richard Hy, a 13-year veteran of the Buffalo Police Department who has been on the Special Victims Unit for the past two years, made the allegations on a Texas-based YouTube show called "Unsubscribe Podcast."

He says that the school district is not only NOT cooperating with investigations, but is obstructing investigations.

This is a special edition of Unsubscribe Podcast featuring Angry Cops: Your Kids Are In Danger - SVU Detective Exposes Buffalo School System. It is 38 minutes, but I think it is worth your time.
