She was arrested this week on federal charges after she vandalized the World War II memorial in D.C., pouring soap bubbles in the fountain and spray painting “Clean Hands Dirty $” on a wall of the memorial.

As soon as I read the news report stating that Farris is 41 years old, my first thought was, “Man, that’s been a hard 41 years.”

A bus driver in Chicago was kidnapped at knifepoint, prompting her to flee the assailant by jumping out of the vehicle’s window.
The Chicago Transit Authority is not blind to the conditions in that city, so the bus drivers have a silent alarm. She was able to trigger it, calling for help.
He ran, but the cops tracked him down a short time later.

There is an increased police presence at Deerfield High School Monday following the school receiving a bomb threat over the weekend. Following a forensic review, Deerfield police, with guidance from the FBI, determined the threat was not credible, and it is being considered part of a swatting incident that also was received by other local school districts.
Deerfield, Illinois is village that straddles the county line between Cook County and Lake County. It is a 25 or 30 mile drive north of the Loop in downtown Chicago.
There have apparently been a string of such bomb threats that use the same (or very similar) language.
Not sure what the point of something like this is. If it were 1 school, you could think it was a student or students who wanted out of classes or exams for a day. This just seems like a crazy person being crazy.
The sheriff's office said 68-year-old Douglas Kraft, of Columbus, and his 69-year-old brother Robert Kraft, of Holland, Michigan, were found dead at a home near Kissimmee, Florida.
The identity of the third victim, who was described as a 68-year-old man from Ohio, will be released pending next-of-kin notification.

He was walking through a neighborhood at midnight shooting a firearm. He then approached a house, and threatened the residents.
Gordon and the homeowner shot at each other, and both were injured during the shooting.
The press release says Eastman police responded to the shooting, and found Gordon after he was shot. Gordon was taken to Dodge County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, per the release.
The homeowner was treated and released.
Eastman, Georgia is roughly a 55 mile drive southeast of Macon, or 140 mile drive southeast of Atlanta.
Georgia is fairly in tune with self-defense being a legal right, and it is hard to see how anyone could see this as anything but justified, though I'm sure there are some Leftists who disagree. In any event, self-defense is a human right.

In a rambling, conspiratorial letter addressed to the FBI, alleged assassin Vance Boelter claimed Gov. Tim Walz instructed him to kill U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar so that Walz could run for the U.S. Senate, according to two people familiar with the contents of the letter.
I predict that the FBI, or at least the office in Minnesota, will do everything to claim that they cannot release this letter because of an ongoing investigation. I no longer have faith in Kash Patel to overrule them.
Federal prosecutors allege the letter was left behind in a Buick that Boelter deserted near his home in Green Isle, Minn. It also allegedly contained Boelter’s confession that he carried out the shootings that killed state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, and injured Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette.
There is more, and it is interesting, but it is all contributed to those "sources familiar with the letter."
Have you wondered why the story of the Minnesota assassin Vance Boelter has suddenly vanished from the news? Now we have a pretty good idea why.
The media was quick to pile on Boelter as MAGA, Religious, Conservative, etc.
In short, Boelter is just a wacko. His letter is a testament to his fractured mind, not a manifesto of political grievance. The media’s rush to blame conservatives and the governor’s passive complicity in allowing false narratives to spread are failures that demand scrutiny. The truth matters, and in this case, it exposes a grotesque distortion of reality by those eager to score political points amid a horrific crime.

You'd be this dinkus chasing after a Cybertruck in NYC. Whether or not he knows why he is angry is open for debate. Again, he lives in NYC. There is an above-average chance he is low-information, easily manipulated by social issues, and believes anything he sees on the Internet about people he is told to no longer like. Hence, cursing out a family in one of Elon Musk's creations.
Since Tesla vehicles have a lot of cameras, there is video of the idiot in question.
And following the trail of links to X, there is apparently an entire subreddit devoted to people who are flipping off Tesla owners. "Doing their part," or something.
This doesn't even cover the people doing actually destruction of property.
Pasadena ISD officials said a man in his 80s with a gun entered the school between 5-6 p.m. and fired two shots. One hit a door and another struck a 26-year-old victim in the shoulder, who the Angelton ISD says is a percussion technical consultant for Angleton High School.
The shooting victim was taken to a hospital, and he is expect to recover.
The four are 13-year Air Force vet Abram Trevino, 13-year Army vet Adam Curow, 4-year Marine vet Efrain (Polo) Castillo and 32-year Houston Police Sergeant Joe Sanchez.
They tackled the guy, removed his firearm, and held him until police showed up.
The four say they and two other men took the suspect down to the ground and restrained him.
One injured in a middle of a band competition. This could have been so much worse, but people on the scene acted for the good of all.

As you can guess, that is not a short post over at The Other McCain. This is a convoluted story, but it is one that people need to know. You need to know how freaking insane the Left is, or is becoming.
It appears these highly intelligent people lacked common sense. They got sucked into the vortex of radical vegan transgender craziness, despite being warned about this cult, and now Bauckholt is dead, as is a Border Patrol agent, while Youngblut is likely facing life in prison.

Sydney Wilson, a former Georgetown Women's Basketball player, attacked a cop with a knife, cutting him across is forehead, and ended up being shot. The usual suspects are trying to turn her into the female version of Saint George of the Floyd. The difference here is that the video is complete, and backs up the cop's actions completely.
The cop in question had been dispatched on a wellness check, since her doctors' had expressed concern about her condition.
This incident took place in Fairfax County, VA, which is basically suburban Washington, D.C. The edge of the county is about 7 or 8 miles from downtown Washington, though I haven't seen any info on where in the county this took place.

He showed up at a home, armed, and started arguing with the homeowner.
When Goble [the homeowner] said he noticed Wilson [the argumentative guy] was pointing a gun at home, Gobile fired his weapon twice at Wilson. Wilson got back into his vehicle but later died due to his injuries.
Wilson was identified as someone with "mental health issues."
Daviess County, Indiana, is roughly 65 miles southwest of Indianapolis, and 65 miles west-northwest of Lexington, Kentucky.
Now you could say a lot about the way we do, or more often don't, treat mental illness. But back in the '70s after One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest because a hit movie, the powers that be decided to get rid of mental institutions. And so there are a lot of crazy people running around. When they pose a danger, you have the right to defend yourself.
The cops have not arrested anyone, but they don't make determinations about charges. Ultimately the DA's office makes that decision. That said, if they thought the homeowner was guilty of something, the cops probably would have charged him with something.
