From the Calgary Sun we get the following. ASIRT says suspect shot by police had 3D printed gun (Though I think it was originally in the Calagry Hearld)
“A 3D-printed firearm with .22 caliber rounds was found in possession of the man after he was hit by the officer’s gunfire,” the release reads.
There is some info on the crime (don't point a gun at cops), and the apprehension of the people who did that, and the one guy with the NAG .22. Very little information is provided about the gun, except for an excellent photo.
Impro Guns gets the Hat Tip. Not-A-Glock Seized Following Shoot-out with Police
The photo is sufficient to identify the firearm, since the name is printed into the side of receiver.
The NAG .22 (‘Not A Glock’), a recently released almost fully 3D printed .22lr Glock 26 clone was seized after a shoot out with police in Calgary last Friday.
Printed guns such as these can be made in any country as only basic hardware store steel tubing and springs are required. They’re only going to get better.
The Usual Suspects are upset that they are no longer in control of the firearms.
Uratau 9mm bullpup has them especially up in arms because of the detailed build instructions, the small number of controlled parts required, and the "manifesto" that says firearm ownership should be recognized as a right globally. But that is another story.
