The Hubris of Hollywood & Jada Pinkett Smith. While there hasn't been much new in the way of backlash on the Netflix show Queen Cleopatra, just more of the same, Critical Drinker published his take on the situation.
This is an examination of the difference between fiction, and documentary. Despite what Netflix has produced, there is supposed to be a difference. The real problem with this abomination, is that it is a "reimagining" of historical people and events (i.e. fiction) passing itself off as a documentary. Or trying to anyway. In the process, Jada Pinkett Smith and Company have alienated a whole bunch of people, including the country of Egypt.

Critical Drinker is a comentator on all things pop culture, mostly movies and TV, and I have come to like his take on things. He is also an author, and his books seem pretty good. (I've only read 1 so far, but have another in the queue.)
