Another song to lament the passing of a guitar legend, Jeff Beck. He passed away on 10 January 2023. He was 78 years old.
This song is "What God Wants, Part 1" by Roger Waters, from the 2015 reissue of his 1992 album Amused to Death. That is Jeff Beck on the guitar. For reasons that only suits at record companies can explain, they didn't use Jeff Beck on the original, 1992 version of this song. Why? No one knows. (The suits probably thought they knew more about playing the guitar than one of the greatest guitar players in history.)
The hat tip goes to Tim Pierce, by way of a Rick Beato video. Tim plays some part on this album, though I would have to look at the credits to tell you exactly what, no disrespect to Tim. (How many albums do you play guitar on?) Jeff Beck is unmistakable.
