Mike Campbell was one of the Heartbreakers, as in Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. He has writing credits on a number of songs you know including the Tom Petty song "Runnin' Down a Dream" and the Don Henley hit "The Boys of Summer." So it should not surprise anyone that songs he is creating today have an echo from an earlier age.
