Just last week I had a story about how the inability to do math caused a bridge to collapse; Six people died, and 10 more were injured. Today we have a story about how there shouldn't be a "right answer." Adding wokeness: Oregon promotes teacher program to subtract ‘racism in mathematics’
Part of the toolkit includes a list of ways “white supremacy culture” allegedly “infiltrates math classrooms.” Those include “the focus is on getting the ‘right’ answer,” students being “required to ‘show their work,'” and other alleged manifestations.
Except for some problems you encounter in college, there is only one right answer. If you get the wrong answer in the real world, bridges will collapse, buildings will collapse, planes will fall out of the sky, and people will die.
But we will have a Woke society. At least those people who don't die in horrible accidents.

The decline is really picking up speed. Pretty quickly the 3rd world is going to look good to those of us who remember what a non-diverse society used to be.
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be saying that POC can't do math and it is racist to say that they should. Thomas Sowell and Walter Willams would be surprised by that
