If You Want to Support Hamas, You Should Get Everything That Goes Along with That Stance

From the archived Boston Globe story: Conservative group circles two trucks with photos, names of Pro-Palestinian Harvard students around Harvard Square

A bunch of Harvard student groups signed a letter blaming Israel for the atrocities of Hamas. They didn't think there would be any fallout. Two trucks circled Harvard Square with the names and photos of some of the supporters of terrorism.

The billboard trucks, funded by the conservative news group Accuracy in Media, featured LED screens that changed throughout the day to feature at least a half dozen Harvard students under the words, “Harvard’s Leading Antisemites.” The trucks also linked to a website, HarvardHatesJews.com, which directs users to send messages to Harvard’s board of trustees.

Michelle Goldberg is Shocked to Find that The Left is Antisemitic

I can't imagine why. From The Other McCain: Michelle Goldberg, After Lying Down With Jew-Hating Dogs, Expresses Chagrin About Waking Up With Jew-Hating Fleas

Okay, PARTS of The Left, anyway.

Michelle Goldberg is a Liberal who works for the New York Times. But then there are no conservatives who work for The Times.

Here is how The Other McCain feels about her.

If your stock in trade is bad writing in support of bad ideas, the only way you can find work is to be a liberal, Michelle Goldberg got her start at the worthless Salon-dot-com, and if she ever wrote anything worth reading, I missed it.

Today she is surprised that The Left, which she counts herself a member of, is celebrating acts of atrocity.

This could only be surprising to those who have paid no attention to the Jew-hating climate on university campuses fostered by the anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) movement. Was any conservative surprised by the pro-Hamas rally in New York? Or were we surprised when Black Lives Matter celebrated this terrorist attack? I don’t think so.

He Suffered a Failure of the Victim-selection Process

Arizona has a version of the Castle Doctrine, so invading an occupied home is not a good idea. PD: Intruder shot, killed by Phoenix homeowner overnight

Officials learned a man, identified as 30-year-old Ricky Gomez, had forced his way into a home in the area and the man living at the home shot him. Gomez died from his injuries at a hospital.

No arrests have been made because of the Castle Doctrine. Arizona actually has Stand Your Ground, but that doesn't really apply in this case, except that you are not required to retreat.

So, if someone is attacking you in Arizona, you're not obligated to try and run away before using force," [Craig] Rosenstein said.

Police in the United Kingdom confirmed last week that all charges have been dropped against Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, the woman arrested for “thoughtcrime” as she stood and silently prayed outside an abortion facility. The police also apologized to Vaughan-Spruce for the length of time it took for them to determine whether or not she would face charges.

The apology came just one week after the British Home Secretary Suella Braverman told police that “silent prayer, within itself, is not unlawful.”

Concealed Carry in Chicago

It is becoming a thing. Chicago shooting today: Concealed Carry License holder fires back at gunman who shot CTA employee in Archer Heights - ABC7 Chicago

A bus crash, impacting several vehicles. A drive by Shooting in which a Chicago Transit Authority supervisor was hit. A tow truck driver, with a concealed carry license returned fire, getting the bad guys to leave the area.

And then there were the people caught in the middle. Like Lorenzo Hernandez, who was just trying to get to work.

"The shooting happened so quickly, I didn't have time to react," Hernandez said. "In Chicago, you go to work not knowing if you will come back home. This happens everywhere. I thank God that I didn't get hit."

At the end of the chaotic ordeal, Hernandez said the tow truck driver came over to him to thank him.

"The tow truck driver thanked me. He said if my SUV wasn't there, he would have gotten killed," Hernandez said.

The Chicago media seems to be getting used to the idea that concealed carry might be legal, even in the People's Republic of Chicago.

Now That Blue States and Blue Cities Have to Deal with Immigration, It's a Problem

When the problems were far away in Texas and Arizona and New Mexico, the Blue States were happy to champion immigrants. Chicago braces for buses carrying up to 1,250 migrants daily: ‘An untenable situation’

Fifty coaches carrying migrants have arrived in Chicago over the last week and authorities are bracing for up to 25 buses with around 1,250 people aboard to start arriving daily.

The deluge has caused huge problems and prompted backlash from residents in the city, which long ago ran out of shelter space and has been allowing asylum seekers to sleep in O’Hare Airport and police stations across the city.

In a scathing letter to President Biden Monday, Illinois’ Democrat Governor, J.B. Pritzker accused the feds of failing to provide adequate aid to the city — a sentiment echoed by numerous other American mayors as the crisis unfolds.

The outrage is years too late.

The residents of the city are starting to push back, because they couldn't be bothered to worry about it when it was far away.

The activists are still all in on open borders of course.

How Is that Bail Reform Working Out?

A 16 year old died after being stabbed in a "dispute between rival groups."

[18-year-old Egypt Otis] is the 20th person accused of shooting, killing, or trying to shoot or kill someone in Chicago this year while awaiting trial for a felony. The cases involve at least 33 victims, ten of whom died.

CWBChicago started keeping score because the powers that be refuse to acknowledge that their policies are not good.

CWBChicago began our series of reports in November 2019 after Cook County Chief Judge Timothy Evans publicly stated, “We haven’t had any horrible incidents occur” under the court’s bond reform initiative.

Illinois has since made that initiative the law, eliminating most cash bail.

A Rape Crisis in France

From Frontpage Mag we get the following France: A Dramatic Rise in Rapes by Muslim Migrants

Civilization was nice while it lasted.

In 2016, there were 12,820 rapes in France; in 2020, this had risen to 22,770; by 2021, the latest year for which records are available, there were 30,780 rapes, an increase in one year of 40%. This catastrophic rise corresponds to the rise in the number of Muslim migrants. Remix News reports here on the increase in the number of rapes in France by Muslim migrants, with many of the victims being middle-aged or elderly: “France ravaged by migrant rapes as spate of sexual assaults targeting elderly women sweep the nation,” by Thomas Brooke, Remix News.

The government's response? A coverup.

The French government tries to keep these statistics on Muslim crime from the public, for fear that the truth will enrage the public, and lead inexorably to a victory by the so-called “far right” parties — Marine Le Pen’s National Rally and Eric Zemmour’s Reconquista.

Chicago Flag

HeyJackass! brings us the weekend statistics about violence from Chicago with SAFE-T Weekend.

Final Demonized Tally: 3 killed, 45 wounded

For comparison on the same weekend in 2015 there were the same number of murders, but less than half the number of people who were shot and wounded.

I'm sure that means they will say it is Trump's fault somehow, but it has been nearly 100 years since Chicago has had a Republican mayor.

3D Printed Ammunition - The Latest Nightmare for the Tyrannts

Impro Guns brings us the latest in the war on Gun Control. FLASH ALERT for Countries With Strict Gun Control Regulations

You could always build firearms. Most shade-tree mechanics have all the tools, and most of the technical know how to produce firearms. The advent of 3D printing made that both easier, and worse, given the quality of 3D printed guns versus things like Philip Luty designed submachinegun. Though the quality issues are being addressed.

That leaves ammunition as the bottleneck.

Developments include the production of shell casings, primers, large fin-stabilized projectiles capable of carrying a payload, and complete cartridges.

Whatever Problem You Want to Solve, Government Is Not the Answer

You can click thru for the depressing details, about how the child was always dirty and hungry and begging neighbors for food, and to stay. Until the mother kicked most of the family out of the house.

The government?

Bradley and other neighbors said they made numerous reports to the Kansas Department for Children and Families in the weeks leading up to her death, citing the deplorable living conditions in Zoey’s home — which lacked running water and was filled with feces.

Numerous reports to the bureaucracy over weeks, and the bureaucrats did nothing. So why is it being funded at all?

But don't worry. There will be an inquiry, which will be run by the government. It will conclude that more funding is required, and more power. And in the end nothing will change, because bureaucracies take care of the bureaucrats.

There Seems to be No Limit to What Disney Can Screw Up

The animated Disney film, The Little Mermaid (1989) was one of the most successful pieces of intellectual property that Disney has ever created. In terms of merchandising and everything downstream from there, it was a home-run. That means that the live-action remake should have been a no-brainier. Except of course, that Disney had to change EVERYTHING about the film, including the soundtrack. Why? Because reasons, and you are racist/misogynistic/whatever for even QUESTIONING the changes that they made.

How much did that rap song cost to write, to film, and to animate? Did they achieve anything except making meme fodder for the internet?

Anyway, I really love the financial side of the movie industry. And so we have the following from Forbes: Disney Sinks $300 Million Into ‘Over Budget’ ‘Little Mermaid’ Movie.

Disney has revealed that the cost of making the live action version of its classic cartoon The Little Mermaid swelled to nearly $300 million by the end of August last year, eight months before the movie opened.

The colossal cost blows its estimated budget out of the water. Variety forecast that the movie had "a $250 million production budget" and there is good reason why it sailed past that.

Say that again: Disney spent $300 million on production as of August 2022, nearly a year before the movie was released. That doesn't include $1 of marketing. Posters. Ads. Trailers. What do you think they spent on marketing?

So they couldn't break even on their most profitable legacy IP. They may have even damaged that IP, since it will take some time for people to forget the live-action abomination. What do you think their chance of breaking even on Snow Off-white and the Seven Portland Baristas is? Slim or none? Then there is Bambi, which they are planning to "remake, for a modern audience." Which means that they are planning to remove the death of Bambi's mother from the film because reasons. I'm sure that will be a success. Or maybe not.

This is Valiant Renegade's video The Little Mermaid 2023 - How Much Disney REALLY SPENT & LOST

Even Forbes, which has some of the best reporting on Disney, is trying to cover for them in some articles, but the Truth is that EVERY division of Disney has lost its way. The Parks are pushing Woke agenda, even though families are staying away. Marvel is a joke, Lucasfilm is dead. Pixar is a hollowed out shell of its former self.
