Two Battery Fires in Germany

One was grid-scale battery storage, the other was a residential system.

The grid-scale battery storage unit was in Bautzen, Germany, which is about 60 kilometer drive east of Dresden, or about a 200 kilometer drive south of Berlin.

The residential fire was in Bentwisch, Germany, which is about a 220 kilometer drive north of Berlin.

The grid-scale battery was basically a shipping container filled with lithium-ion batteries. The residential system was smaller, but it resulted in an explosion that sent a couple of firefighters to the hospital.
