A south Alabama burglary suspect who fell through a ceiling during the break-in was discovered by the homeowner, who beat him with a dog gate, Dothan police said.
He entered the house through an attic vent, and was apparently in the house for 2 hours before falling through the ceiling. The article doesn't address, "Why?" Drugs may have been involved. He was arrested a short time later after being tracked by a K-9 unit.
Dothan, Alabama is about a 100 mile drive south-southeast of Montgomery, or about an 85 mile drive north-northeast of Panama City Beach, Florida.
Self-defense is all about attitude, and using the weapon or weapons that you have.
