Road Rage is never worth the risk, as these 2 brothers found out. Sheriff identifies men in Harlingen road rage shooting
Sanchez told deputies he was driving westbound on FM 508 with his two children when he passed two vehicles, nearly causing one of them to run off the road.
"Nearly." So nothing actually happened, but the 2 brothers driving the 2 cars were apparently enraged.
Sanchez further stated to deputies that both brothers began assaulting him when he pulled over and exited his truck.
Sanchez then retrieved his firearm from the center console and fired it as both brothers continued to assault him, according to the sheriff’s office.
Both brothers were shot and treated at a local hospital.
Sanchez sustained extensive injuries, including to his eye socket, multiple bumps on his head, and small lacerations on his face, the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office said.
Harlingen is in extreme southern Texas. It is about a 135 mile drive south of Corpus Christi.
Self-defense is a human right, and though it will be a while before the investigation is complete, and the DA makes any determination about charges, this did happen in Texas.
