While on the surface this is a Musical Interlude, this is really a post about the state of shipping in the US.
It isn't great, considering how important it is to the economy.
Instead of trying to think of something clever to say, I will just refer you to Sal Mercogliano and his What's Going on With Shipping? video Why the Great Lakes Matter | 50 Years Since the Loss of SS Edmund Fitzgerald. It is a 16 minute, or so, video. And he links to a couple of documentaries on the ship.
And since this is masquerading as a musical interlude...
This song is "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot from his 1976 album Summertime Dream.
