This also seems to be a case of Crazy People Are Dangerous. Man claims self-defense in deadly Indianapolis gas station stabbing | WTHR
Tyron "Ty" Holder was on the job for the US Postal Service, and stopped at a gas station, where a guy was causing problems.
When confronted, he told the guy to "just leave."
Holder said the man opened the door again and spit on him, so Holder reached for his mace. Holder said that’s when the man pulled out a six-inch knife and stabbed him in the side.
"I lost feeling in my legs, and I fell into him," Holder said. "It was like a balloon, like I got deflated."
A struggle for the knife ensued. Eventually the other guy, 37-year-old John Bouvier Green Jr., was stabbed. He did not survive.
Indianapolis PD says the initial investigation indicates self-defense, but police don't make the final determination.
I hope Mr. Holder recovers, and I am glad he was able to defend himself. This story highlights the fact that self-defense is about attitude. Mr. Holder didn't give up, despite being injured. He also has psychological injuries to deal with.
"That's something that I got to have on my conscience the rest of my life," Holder said. "Regardless of the circumstances."
I don't think I can say, Good Guys 1, Bad Guys 0 on this one. Self-defense is a human right.

Crazy people are dangerous is a phrase I picked up from The Other McCain
