Our Solemn Hour

People have trouble identifying Symphonic Metal as Heavy Metal. That is because people believe that all Metal sounds like Thrash. It does not.

This song is "Our Solemn Hour" by Within Temptation from their 2007 album The Heart of Everything.

    I have often wondered what music would be like if some of the great composers like Beethoven for example had access to some of our more modern musical instruments. And I think this is the kind of music they would come up with.
    If you have free time lookup Dianne Van Giersbergen "Symphonic Tragedy" I think you may like it.
