End of Watch. Phillips County Kansas Deputy Fatally Shot in Struggle During Illegal Fireworks Call | Officer
Phillips County Sheriff's Deputy Brandon Gaede was attempting to handcuff a suspect during an illegal fireworks call in Phillipsburg when the man pulled a concealed handgun and opened fire.
The guy believed to be responsible for the shooting, also died at the scene.
Phillips County, Kansas is about a 300 mile drive west of Kansas City.
Deputy Gaede was 30 years old, and is survived by his wife and their three children.
