Another song courtesy of WXRT's Saturday Morning Flashback. This one from 1969. WXRT was revisiting that year in the first half of May.
Crosby, Stills & Nash always sound more Folk and less Rock to me, but they have been included in Rock & Roll for most of my life.
Take today's song, for example. It has been included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's "500 Songs That Shaped Rock & Roll." Something about the three-part harmony just throws me off from thinking it is Rock. Still, it was high enough on the Billboard chart to mean that it was on the radio quite a bit.
This is "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" by Crosby, Stills & Nash from their 1969 debut album Crosby, Stills & Nash
An old favorite of mine, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThese many years passed, I still remember every lyric, every chord. I even remembered my girlfriend of that time.
ReplyDeleteYet ask what I did last week.
The college library had a fine selection of music, including the album featured here. Headphones and reel to reel is how I passed many long hours in the library.
