Your home is not a free fire zone. Every bullet comes with a lawyer attached. Homeowner charged for shooting grocery delivery driver after his wife ordered from Instacart and didn’t tell him
The guy was just trying to deliver an Instacart order to the address, when the guy who lived there shot him in the legs.
The driver’s wife, Jessica Thomas, said the family was delivering an order from Weis Markets and gave officers their Instacart paperwork.
Her husband went to drop off the groceries but returned bleeding in his leg, she told police, according to the outlet.
Sabo has been booked on charges of recklessly endangering another person and additional charges may be presented at a later date.
Don't be a jerk, and save yourself a world of hurt.
Within the last two days I read comments on one of the blogs on the Gun Blog Black List.
ReplyDeleteSupposed conservative gunnies boldly announcing that anyone coming to their door is gonna get shot. Several comments added they would not 'break perimeter' to do so. I took that to mean that they would shoot through the door.
Even a screen door may interfere with making positive ID.
I shake my head, how utterly stupid to say or think that way. Alright, Rambo. Enjoy your life in prison. Or, reliving the horror of having shot a loved one or delivery driver.
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity
DeleteYou would think that with all of the recent stories about homeowner shooting kids for no reason than that they pulled in the driveway, knocked on the door, whatever, and went to prison, or are at least facing prison, that they would reconsider the insanity.
Life is hard. It's harder when you're stupid.
