If he had succeeded he would have gained a few hundred dollars, instead he lost everything. Alleged armed robber shot, killed in 'robbery gone bad' in Chesterfield County
On Saturday, Dec. 28 around 8:47 p.m., officials responded to an armed robbery at the Highway 9 Mini Mart & Tobacco store at 28495 Highway 9 in Pageland.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased black male with gunshot wounds.
Pageland, South Carolina is about 38 miles southeast of Charlotte, North Carolina.
He tried to rob the place and failed. It seems fairly clear that he constituted a threat.
The store clerk stated to sheriffs that the suspect had entered the store, put a gun to his head and demanded money. The clerk then produced his own handgun and fired multiple shots at the robber, which was confirmed by the store’s surveillance video.
Sheriff Cambo Streater made a statement about the relevant South Carolina law, and also stated his support for law-abiding citizens defending themselves from bad guys.
Self-defense is human-right.
Can't wait to hear the perp's mamma saying what a good boy he was, he deserve to get shot, and she's suing the store for all the money she can get.
