Cash Jordan makes the point that all of this may not fix the problem, because the Criminal Justice System is more interested in protecting the criminals than it is in maintaining public safety.

So, as our leaders tell us the subway is safe, they continue rolling out the military just to make sure nothing comes along to prove otherwise, but that's exactly what's happening, and nobody in charge wants to admit that the New York City subway is a lot more dangerous than most people think it is.
