Yet another failure of the victim-selection process. Elgin Police: Shooting that left 1 person injured deemed as self-defense - ABC Columbia
And the cops are on board with that situation.
Officers say they responded to the shooting around 2 a.m. at a Circle K.
According to officers, a store clerk shot an individual during an active assault.
Elgin, South Carolina is about 70 miles due south of Charlotte, North Carolina, or roughly a 25 mile drive northeast of Columbia, S.C.
Cops are calling it self-defense, but it will be the DA who decides if any charges are filed.
The guy who got shot sustained "a minor" injury.
Whatever the DA may decide, Self-Defense is a human right. And to be fair, South Carolina is pretty good when it comes recognizing your right to defend yourself.
