Lies, Damn Lies, and (Government) Statistics

I'm shocked - Shocked I tell you! - that the bureaucracy would lie to make the Democratic Administration look good. Initial U.S. employment reports overstated by 439,000 jobs in 2023 | Fox Business

Lie you say? They didn't lie. It was an "honest mistake." Or something.

There’s something wrong with previous U.S. jobs reports.

The government quietly erased 439,000 jobs through November 2023, a closer look at the numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows.

That means its initial jobs results were inflated by 439,000 positions, and the job market is not as healthy as the government suggests.

There is also the fact that more people are holding multiple jobs to make ends meet than ever before since we started keeping records.

A record high 8.69 million people now hold multiple jobs to make ends meet. The economy lost 1.5 million full-time workers since June of last year, while adding 796,000 part-time workers.

And then there is total inflation since Biden was inaugurated of better than 17 percent - though it is higher if you include gas and groceries, the two things you probably buy every week.

I miss living in a prosperous, free economy. (Hat tip to Artist Angie and Lisa - @politeracy.)
