But then bashing New York Governor Hochul is an equal-opportunity activity. Cuomo slams Hochul's deployment of National Guard in NYC subways
Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo slammed his successor’s decision to deploy the National Guard to New York City subway stations — arguing instead for more police officers to patrol underground.
Cuomo claimed Gov. Hochul’s directive to station hundreds of troops in the subway system to check bags is useless, saying it cannot serve as a viable long-term solution to combat crime.
“You need police,” Cuomo told John Catsimatidis & Rita Cosby Wednesday
The conspiracy-theory-loving part of me says that implementing Martial Law was always the end goal. Create enough chaos so that you can toss out the Constitution. After all, democracy is messy. The people in Washington are sure they know what is best. You don't even have to ask them.
They do need police. The problem is that they don't see it that way, or not enough to actually pay for and support police. Police - as viewed by the folks in the Blue Cities - are the root of all evil. You don't have to ask them about that either; they will tell you. Then scream when 911 response times aren't instantaneous.
