Israelis overwhelmingly support the war to destroy Hamas, so even if the Democrats were to succeed in getting rid of Netanyahu, this would not meaningfully change Israel’s policy. Keep in mind that this unprecedented maneuver — top U.S. leaders demanding “regime change” in a country with whom we are supposed to be allies — is driven entirely by the domestic politics of Biden’s reelection campaign.
It is all about winning votes in Michigan and Minnesota.
