The Star Wars Movie that ABSOLUTELY No One Asked For

First, it is necessary to remind people what the audiences thought about the last Disney/Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker. In a nutshell, people HATED that movie, in ways that movies are rarely hated.

The following video sums up that feeling: Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker CRAZY Theater Reaction. It wasn't that crazy, actually. (The video is a minute and 20 seconds.)

Based on that reaction, Kathleen Kennedy has decided that she needs to make a sequel to that movie. This reminds me of how Disney/Marvel decided that they needed to make sequel to Captain Marvel. That movie made a billion dollars after all, like the The Rise of Skywalker, so why wouldn't a sequel be successful? Of course The Marvels, the aforementioned sequel to Captain Marvel, crashed and burned in an epic fashion. And its predecessor, while loathed, was not hated in the way that the last Star Wars movie is loathed.

But hey, Kathleen Kennedy hasn't set fire to a few hundred million dollars since Indiana Jones and the Insufferable Feminist hit theaters in the summer. Why does she still have a job? (My guess is that she knows who has skeletons in their closets.)

From CBR: Daisy Ridley's Star Wars Movie Receives a Filming Start Date

According to Production List, the Film & Television Industry Alliance's production tracking service, the untitled Star Wars movie, which will feature the big screen return of Ridley's Rey Skywalker, will begin shooting on April 7, 2024, in London, United Kingdom. The upcoming feature will be set 15 years after the events of 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, following Rey as she builds a new Jedi Order.

I won't be wasting my time on that movie, but I'm sure watching it crash and burn will provide some entertainment.
