New Yorkers Can No Longer Ignore Crime

I'm not sure how they could ignore things before, but they apparently felt safe. Now they do not feel safe. New Yorkers reveal their fears over being city's next random crime victim

New Yorkers have unleashed in detail about how they are feeling increasingly unsafe on the city’s streets and subways — and how they fear they could be the next victim of crime.

The Post spoke to several locals on Wednesday about the current state of crime in the Big Apple after a grim new Siena College poll found 41% of New Yorkers have “never” been so on-edge about their own safety.

They are worried about safety, and some are even carrying pepper spray. (It is New York, where they are convinced that guns will make you do things.) Some are even considering leaving NYC.

The mayor is blaming the media. It can't be his fault, after all. It can't be Progressive, Leftist policies, like no bail, and decriminalizing "petty" crime. No. It is all lies by the ultra right-wing media. (If such a thing actually exists - which I doubt - I'm pretty sure you won't find it in NYC.) NYC Mayor Eric Adams blames media (again!) after new poll reveals NYers are as concerned as ever about crime.

A new Siena College poll revealed that 41% of New York State residents have “never” been as concerned about their personal safety as they are now – while a shocking 87% responded that crime is a very or somewhat serious problem in New York State and New York City.

And while they do cite a decrease in major crime (4%), from 2022, they do not provide a comparison from 10 years ago.
