HeyJackass! brings us the May Wrap-up.
OG Lightfoot and Lightfoot v2.0 split responsibilities as the reigns of stupidity were peacefully handed over mid-month. While OG wrapped up her tenure with over 15k shot*, v2.0 got off to a strong start with a notably violent, stress mishandling Memorial Day weekend.
The final tally for the month: 65 killed, 274 wounded.
That was a slightly better tally than last year, and somewhat better than 2020 and 2021, but it was worst than 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018.
I am sure the Powers-That-Be will declare "Crime is Down!"
