"These are not the droids you're looking for." That seems to be the attitude of the media, since the guy in question is a left-wing moonbat. Even the Canadian media is (mostly) ignoring it.
So an "indigenous person" who is a far left activist, and a musician who sings about anarchy, drove his jeep (shouldn't he be driving an EV?‡) through a crowd of anti-COVID-lockdown protestors. He injured four people, and sped away at high-speed, running red lights, etc.
When Winnipeg police pulled Zegarac over a short time later in Headingley, the man refused to exit his vehicle and accused officers of being racist.
And because Justice is not color-blind in Canada, he will get to scream racism one more time.
Zegarac will be sentenced in August, following the completion of a Gladue report examining his personal background as an Indigenous person.
He is only facing 18 months in jail, because he is not being charged with attempted murder, or even assault with a deadly weapon.
David Alexander Zegarac, 43, was set to stand trial in July, but instead pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and one count of failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.
Social Justice is most definitely not Justice.
Dagger; Rebel News gets the hat tip for being the only media outlet outside of Winnipeg that thinks this might be newsworthy. Ezra Levant also gets credit for the quip about driving an EV or hybrid car.
