From the NY Post: Twitter deletes tweets about 'Tttt Day of Vvvvvvvv' protest
And I edited the title to the post because it was deleted from Twitter at least once, though I don't know if was deleted by the author, or the censors at Twitter. It doesn't really matter all that much, except I don't want the Twitter version of this post to be deleted.
The title orginally read: Twitter deletes thousands of tweets about planned ‘Trans Day of Vengeance’ protest.
Twitter has removed thousands of tweets about a “Trans Day of Vengeance” protest set for Saturday outside the US Supreme Court, drawing outrage from conservatives who have also been sharing the event poster to condemn the demonstration.
Ella Irwin, Twitter’s head of trust and aafety, said in a tweet Wednesday that the company automatically removed upwards of 5,000 tweets and retweets of a poster promoting the event.
The deletion was not just about people advertising the protest, but people denouncing the protest as well. At least there were equal-opportunity censors.
There are more details on the protest, on the Nashville shooting, and Twitter's latest censorship policies, on a lot of things.
