The DisInformation Chronicle starts things off with Long Before Suspicions Arose About A Lab Leak, Government Scientists Were Fiddling With Bugs to Make Them More Deadly

Decades before the COVID outbreak when Americans first began hearing of dangerous “gain of function” virus studies, US bioweapons researchers were juicing up bugs to make them more deadly and contagious. Combing through historical military records, writer Kris Newby found evidence that this research may have fueled the rise of patients with Lyme disease—a sometimes chronic condition, with almost half a million new infections every year.

Impro Guns - Urutau 9mm bullpup carbine by Ze Carioca

The Urutau is essentially a bullpup version of the FGC-9 which uses printable Scorpion mags and is currently being developed by a Brazilian based designer. Like the FGC-9, it uses no firearm parts but is even easier to make, uses a new printable Fire Control Group capable of burst fire

The Other McCain - If Fetterman Is Brain Dead, Maybe They Should Hook Him Up to Jumper Cables?

He has been unable to perform his Senate duties for weeks, so that Pennsylvanians effectively have half the Senate representation to which they are entitled. Pennsylvanians are starting to notice this, and one county GOP chairman took to Facebook on Monday to demand that Fetterman make a public appearance.

Mike Rowe - The Incredible Symphony of Things (Ep. 303)

It’s hard. Really, really, really hard to find a US company in the clothing industry that’s figured out a way to make their products entirely in America, and still remain competitive.

Vlad Tepes - Trudeau calls Canadian intel service “Racist” for materials that may indicate the Chinese communists bought Trudeau and influenced the election

In Trudeau’s case its the opposite. He is using a weak and tiresome critical-theory/Discourse theory attack on CSIS because they pointed out the corruption of the PM. They noted correctly that China exerts undue influence, and may have played a part in Trudeau’s election ‘victories’. Let’s hope it has the same outcome. It typically goes badly for a politician when he takes on that kind of power.

Daily Caller - Woman’s Mother Calls Her Out For Lying About Her Race

A diversity executive for a left-wing social justice organization is accused of lying about her race by none other than her entire family

Again from The Other McCain - Good-Bye, Mayor Frogface! Lightfoot Places Third in Chicago Reelection Bid

The pioneering Amphibian-American got less than 20% of the vote in her effort to win another four years in office to wreck Chicago

And two posts from The Other McCain dealing with CPAC - Back to CPAC With the Big Yellow Button

With the D.C. area in the grip of a draconian COVID-19 lockdown, CPAC decided in 2021 to move the conference to Orlando, and did it again in 2022, so that I’ve missed the event the past two years. But as soon as I finish this post, I’ll be packing up my laptop and heading off to National Harbor for CPAC 2023, and covering it in my usual gonzo manner.

And the 2nd post - CPAC: Founding Fathers

Just moments ago, I was sitting in the lobby bar of the Gaylord hotel with Kurt Schlichter, Larry O’Conner and Ron Coleman, and have pictures to prove it, but don’t have time right now to post the pictures. So you’ll just have to take my word for it, for now.

OldAFSarge at Chant du Départ - Rigging in the Age of Sail. A topic dear to my heart.

As I mentioned a week or so ago, I re-watched the film, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World and was once again impressed with the sheer amount of rope used in a three-masted sailing ship. The picture above gives names to all the masts, sails, and what-have-you (great website at the source, check it out).
