Good thing he had access to a firearm. Armed 79-year-old shoots, kills intruder who stabbed him in home garage, deputies say
Deputies said the younger man assaulted and stabbed the victim as he exited his vehicle inside his garage. The victim had a gun on him, and he fired one round that struck the suspect before the gun was wrestled away from the victim.
That one round struck the assailant in the chest. He died before he could flee. The victim was able to call 911 and they took him to the hospital.
The Gun-hating Left will tell you that this old man should have been helpless in the face of violence from youth. Without a firearm, what should he have done?
Well I think it is a good thing he had the firearm, because self-defense is a human-right.
Although anti self-defense LIBTURD gun-grabbers would disagree, I contend age of the potential victim must be considered in whether deadly force was justified. A 79 year old man is most likely physically outmatched by a twenty-something thug punk. A 79 year old woman even more so. Myself at 60 do not have the strength or agility to go toe-to-toe with such an individual. I would have to consider their fists or feet deadly weapons.
