I wouldn't make tea. Bogalusa sees deadliest year on record with ninth shooting
This all took place at 12:30 in the morning in Bogalusa, Louisiana, which is about 60 miles north of New Orleans.
Police say Thomas had argued earlier that evening with a female relative over a phone he had allegedly stolen. Thomas left, but came back and began "causing a disturbance outside." Once he kicked down the door and charged at the man, the man said he shot out of fear for his life, according to police.
Police said no arrests have been made since the shooting appears to be justified.
He was shot once, and died before police arrived.
Indicating that the police believe that self-defense is legal in the state of Louisiana. Self-defense is a human-right.
