No fear of penalities means behavior will not change. Gangbanger jailed for dragging NYPD cop steals car again while on bail, leads police on ANOTHER chase
Justin Murrell, 20, who went to prison for 14 months after stealing a car and then dragging and paralyzing NYPD Detective Dalsh Veve, was just nabbed after allegedly stealing yet another car while being out on bail for a separate car chase in New York City.
Catch and release. That will convince them to change their ways.
Following his arrest, Murrell was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and a number of other offenses. Outrageously, he was then released under New York’s lax bail reform laws.
Western Civilization was built on the Rule of Law, among other things. This is Hobbes' state of war, in which people are not held in check by some authority. Life becomes "nasty, brutish, and short."
Western Civilization was nice while it lasted.
