Way out of Here

This is one of those bands that came and went when I wasn't really paying attention to Progressive Rock/Progresive Metal. Porcupine Tree released something like 8 or 9 albums, an EP or 2 and a live DVD. They worked with Robert Fripp of King Crimson, and in general made a lot of good music. Then they disbanded in 2011.

Today's song doesn't sound much like Metal to me, but seems more like traditional Progressive Rock.

This is "Way out of Here (Live)" by Porcupine Tree. It was originally on their 2007 album Fear of a Blank Planet, though this is actually a live "concert film," version from the DVD Anesthetize, which was released in 2010.
