Because Keeping Violent Offenders In Jail Would Be Unfair

It was certainly unfair to this kid and his family. NYC teen allegedly murdered ‘innocent kid’ after getting probation in 2020 shooting.

He was in front of a judge for a shooting that took place during an armed robbery. I would say that proves he is a danger the community, but I'm not a Leftist-activist judge in New York.

Steven Mendez, 17 — who was once even busted for allegedly pulling a gun on his own mom — could have been kept behind bars for up to four years after pleading guilty in the violent armed robbery in 2020, according to officials and law-enforcement sources.

Instead, the reputed gang member was freed on five years’ probation in May at the judge’s discretion.

Instead of embarking on a life of charity and good deeds, he returned to being a gang member. I'm shocked.

That allowed Mendez to allegedly fatally shoot “completely innocent’’ 21-year-old Saikou Koma in the head last month in what may be a case of mistaken identity fueled by gangbangers out for vengeance

The dead-kid's mother is out for blood, metaphorically speaking. And not the blood of the murderer, but the scalp of the judge who was naive enough to turn a violent criminal loose to perpetrate more violence. It didn't take a crystal ball, or a Ouija board to foresee more violence in this kid's future.

I wish this judge would have to answer some questions about this case, but that will never happen. He will shoulder no responsibility. I doubt that he will even lose any sleep over the outcome.

Whenever the subject of felony murder comes up, I write about being held accountable for the completely foreseeable consequences of your actions. You or I would be held accountable if our actions lead to the death of someone. But not a judge.

And so the Left will blame the gun. There is a story from today on a killing in Queens - a stabbing. The Left will ignore it, because it isn't about a gun, and so they can't blame the inanimate object. Though the UK is blaming knives for their violent crime.

If there are no consequences to your actions, why should you modify your behavior?

  1. Another instance where society could use the services of Mr. Paul Kersey. Judge needs a visit from Mr. Kersey.
