This is a song I hadn't thought about in a very long time. Burt Bacharach wrote the music as an instrumental, but then Hal David wrote lyrics for it. It was most notable for it having been included in the 1967 spoof version of Casino Royale.
Yes kids, there was a James Bond film with Woody Allen as the bad guy. (There is a reason you have never seen it.) Aside from that, it is a wonderful song.
