Portland Sued for "Hands Off" Policy

I wish the family of dead Trump supporter luck. Estate of Aaron ‘Jay’ Danielson, man killed in downtown Portland after pro-Trump rally, sues city, mayor and DA

The estate of the man fatally shot in downtown Portland after a pro-Trump car rally last year is suing the city of Portland, the mayor and the county district attorney, claiming their alleged negligence contributed to his violent death.

The mayor, Ted Wheeler, at first praised the "hands off" approach of the police, but lately he reversed that position.

Under most circumstances you can't sue City Hall, or the police, or anyone else in government.

    Lawsuit was doomed to failure before it was even files. There are numerous court decisions string that LEO have NO LEGAL OBLIGATION to protect individuals. Some of these cases come from the SCOTUS.
