Self-defense Is Legal in South Carolina

And this DA made that decision at Warp Speed. As DA decisions are measured. Columbia, SC hotel shooting was self-defense, police say | The State

A fatal Friday night shooting at a Columbia hotel was justifiable, according to investigators.

The Columbia Police Department investigated the shooting at InTown Suites at 1633 Broad River Road. Investigators said a woman shot a man in a domestic incident.

A shooting happened at 11 p.m. on Friday, and by either Saturday, or at the latest Sunday, the Prosecutor's office had determined it was self-defense. A large number of DAs would have taken weeks or even months to announce that decision. It seems that the Richmond County Prosecutors don't let the grass grow under their feet.

Self-defense is a human-right, and in South Carolina it is your legal right.
