First up - #39 – Man’s charged with two separate shootings while AWOL on burglary charge.
On December 19, Morris was AWOL on recognizance bonds for residential burglary and possessing a stolen motor vehicle when he and another man allegedly tried to rob two people at a gas station. [SNIP]
Morris was still on the loose when the new year rang in. And, six days later, Morris allegedly opened fire on another driver as they traveled on the Dan Ryan Expressway near 67th Street.
A chef who is awaiting trial for allegedly stabbing his own brother to death is now charged with slashing the throat of a friend who visited his home to give him a morale boost this week. Nestor Soto, age 42, is the 40th person accused of killing, trying to kill, or shooting someone in Chicago this year while on felony bond.

These are apparently the things that the people of Chicago and Cook County want, because they keep electing the judges and prosecutors who encourage more crime, by being easy on criminals.
