Self-defense Is Legal in Michigan

And "The System" hates that. Retired detective cleared of shooting his son in self-defense after judge tosses case

A retired detective was attacked in his own home by his son. He shot him in self-defense.

“His sister and best friend both said he was possessed. He was coming at his father with the intent to kill him and it was a scary situation,” [Attorney Todd] Flood said.
