If you have to open the door, be prepared for what may come through it. NOPD: French Quarter homeowner shoots, kills intruder
Someone was pounding on the door. He retrieved a firearm before opening the door.
After opening the door, police say an unidentified male lunged at the homeowner, who then shot the man.
The guy who got shot died at the scene.
Self-defense is a human-right.
