This is the company in favor of censorship (no conservatives on F*c*book) and defunding the police. Unilever, Whose Workers Raped and Killed, Calls for Police Defunding | Frontpagemag
There is too much in the article to mention everything. So here are two items.
First up the forced labor in Indonesia.
Global consumer companies, including Unilever, Nestle, Kellogg and Procter & Gamble, have sourced palm oil from Indonesian plantations where labor abuses were uncovered, Amnesty International said on Wednesday.
Children as young as eight worked in “hazardous” conditions at palm plantations run by Singapore-based Wilmar International and its suppliers on the Indonesian islands of Kalimantan and Sumatra, Amnesty said in a report. [Ref. CNBC]
Public Safety as re-imagined by Unilever. (This is the company that wants to defund police for a better vision.)
Private securities calling themselves "S.W.A.T.", who were hired by the company two weeks before the strike, invaded the picketing area last Monday and summarily unleashed a torrent of rubber bullets on innocent workers while they were demonstrating peacefully. [Ref. Ethical Consumer]
But apparently as long as they donate to some Leftist charities, call for removing all conservative voices from F*c*book, and parrot The Party line on defunding the police, they get a pass on everything.
And so much more. From benefiting from forced labor in China to murderous attacks on Kenyan tea plantations. Go read the whole thing.
