Felony Murder in Florida

The "How Dare You Live Without Me!" attitude in action. 18-year-old arrested for murder after organizing robbery of ex-boyfriend’s home.

The Jacksonville Beach Police Department said that Samantha Allison Weiner hired two people to rob her ex-boyfriend’s house following their breakup. Weiner provided the robbers with information on the house, entry points, and items to be taken.

But as often happens in home invasion robberies in Florida, which has not morphed into New Jersey, the homeowner was armed.

One of the 2 would-be home-invaders was shot and killed. Now the ex-girlfriend is discovering what Felony Muder is. In Florida it is actually called 2nd-degree murder. The lawyers and politicians have differnt names in differnt places. You committed a felony and as a result someone died. You are responsible for the completely foreseeable consequences of your actions. The original felony in this case was Solicitation to Commit Robbery. Sadly felony stupidity is not a crime that can be charged in Florida.

Self-defense, Domestic Issues, Felony Murder all in one incident. Or did I miss something?
