Columbia County is not too far from Polk County. CCSO: Man shot while trying to break into home. The sheriffs of both counties seem to have a bit in common.
So a guy, who was armed with a shotgun, tried to break into a home in Columbia County, Florida. Things did not go well for him. First he got shot. Then he got arrested.
As for the sheriff...
In a statement, Columbia County Sheriff Mark Hunter said “Incidents like this are extremely rare here, but I am glad that this resident was prepared to defend their home and family.”
Self-defense is a human-right, and in Florida it is mostly your legal right as well.
