How would you respond to a home invader at 7 a.m.? Man shoots, kills attempted home intruder on Harrison Avenue, NOPD says
That is when New Orleans PD was called to home in the Gentilly neighborhood. They found a man with a gunshot wound. He was declared dead at the scene.
On Friday afternoon, NOPD officials confirmed that the man who opened fire did so because the person was trying to break into his house. Officers believe he was defending himself and others during the incident.
Self-defense is a human right.
