Two Phoenix police officers are under criminal investigation after two people reported being beaten, tased, and held at gunpoint during a traffic stop that victims say was never documented — and that police records show no agency reported conducting.
This incident was from August, but I only just became aware of it. The article above only describes the incident, it does not name the officers in question. That information became available at the beginning of September. Phoenix police officers plead not guilty after violent 'off the books' stop
Antonio Felix and Luis Vasquez Jr. are the two former cops. Apparently the officers were put on administrative leave, but then the news broke of who they were, and they were arrested, and the chief of police fired them.
They are facing a long list of felony charges including aggravated assault, kidnapping, and tampering with evidence.
