It has been a long since I featured a song by the Australian artist Washington. Her full name is Megan Washington, though that isn't always remembered. It seems that Australia hasn't abandoned Indie and Alternative Rock the way the suits in the American Music industry have.

This is "American Spirit" by Meg Washington. It was released as a single in 2019, but it doesn't seem to be part of an album. (Albums are such a 20th Century concept.) It certainly wasn't a song on the album she released in 2020.
