HeyJackass! has the stats for the weekend in Chicago. Wrong Place, Wrong Time Weekend
The July 4th weekend in Chicago was surprisingly peaceful. Well, it was peaceful by Chicago standards, though Mother Nature did lend a hand. There is less crime in Chicago during the winter cold, and during thunderstorms.
With the July 4th weekend behind us, we now return to our regularly scheduled programming.
So are these numbers good, or bad?
Final Demonized Tally: 4 killed, 19 wounded
2025 weekend tally: 4 killed, 25 wounded
2024 weekend tally: 11 killed, 29 wounded
It used to be a wonderful city.
