A recent report from the Crime Prevention Research Center documents just 43 murders nationwide from 20 attacks involving Glock switches over the 2021-2026 period — meaning fatal lightning strikes killed nearly twice as many Americans during the same window.
It is all about feelings in the 21st century.
Full auto is not what people think it is. There is a reason that the military developed the three-shot trigger.

It’s not surprising that the murder rate for the Glock switches is low; they’re mostly in favor of a group that isn’t known for marksmanship. With the ability to point at a scary black pistol that converts to automatic fire, these state legislatures would have created the switches themselves. Never mind the base weapon is legal and the conversion (and I think even possession of an uninstalled switch) is already a federal crime.
ReplyDeleteEven a 9mm pistol would be hard to control in full auto. I believe that’s the reason for the creation of the 5.7mm round - to make a fully automatic pistol that can be used accurately.
